Do you have that friend? You know the one I’m talking about. The friend that always has the most beautifully wrapped Christmas presents. I know you are thinking to yourself "I could never be that crafty and put together." Well I am here to tell you, you can! Girl you can DO IT! All you need is a handy local craft store and some things you may even have around the house!
Here are some is some things I drew inspiration from. Always keep an eye out for inspiration on Pinterest, magazines, or bloggers you love, It’s a great way to the creative juices flowing!
Here is my take on these wrapping styles with things I had around the house!
Natural elements are always in style, and that’s why I love this natural organic look. I used some white and brown paper I already had. My bows are made with burlap ribbon and gold cording and the gifts are finished it off with boxwood and cedar cuttings from the yard. Twine or rope would also work great! I made my own little tags but you can always find places online to print cute graphic tags!
Rich green velvet ribbon is so elegant and Christmas-y, this look may be my favorite! I used a metallic geometric paper I have been rationing for years because I can’t bear to see it run out. I added a natural element with some white tipped pine cones. (Quick Tip: collect pine cones throughout the year as you see them, paint the tips with white paint, and use them to decorate with for Christmas! Perfect to add in wreaths or as a bowl filler!)
I also love a monochromatic treatment. It's subtle yet dramatic! I used this silver wood grain paper for all my gifts this year! Pick any neutral paper, be as bold with the pattern as you like, and simply pick ribbon that is the same color. This is foolproof and is really beautiful, especially when you have a lot nestled under the tree! Attach some little cheap ornaments or use a nicer ornament and it can be part of the gift! Your friends will think you are so clever!
